killjoys is not doing a bad job of entering some of the samm story space as Firefly. Dark matter is not doing a bad job of entering of the same story space as Blake's 7. Not imitations or versions but ... Hard to define what I mean by story space. Influenced by without stealing from?
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I'm really enjoying Dark Matter, and Killjoys is getting there.
And I've only seen the pilot so far of Mr Robot, but so far I'm really impressed (and have no hacker or Brooklyn geography skills to impede my enjoyment).

Other way around for me. Killjoys I have loved since it started, Dark Matter is growing on me.
Killjoys was s little too heavy on the Dark.Gritty...Whatever for me at first. Now that I'm starting to get to know them better, it's working for me better. I think Dark Matter just feels so familiar with its Firefly-esque vibe, it made me comfortable quickly.
I like how Defiance has the broken Arch in the titles now.
I realized while watching a cheesy movie yesterday that the same actor who plays Datak on Defiance also played Van Gogh on Doctor Who. It is possible I knew this at one point and forgot. I almost feel bad about constantly wishing Datak would get killed off.
Wow, and I liked him so much as Van Gogh. Well, I never really thought it was the actor's fault. That whole alien culture is just not well thought out.
He also played Marcus Corvinus in Underworld: Evolution and Priest (the orange-haired vampire in the Blood Pack who got part of his head sliced off) in Blade 2.
I've never seen any of the Blade or Underworld movies.
Has anyone watched "Black Mirror"? Someone highly recommended it to me, and it's on Netflix, so I watched the first episode.
That was seriously one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen!
I'm just curious if anyone else has seen it and what they thought. I'm highly tempted to watch the other episodes (it's an anthology), but I'm kind of scared as well!
