I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Well, I like the little bit of grey showing and he's aging extremely well ... but I think he's younger than I am.

sigh ... I turned 63

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

iZombie

I am still in denial about Lowell. ::whimpers:: I figured Max Douchebag was going to go zombie as soon as he tasted her blood. Also, ewww. Major's going to have to come in, eventually. I almost though the ep was going to end with Liv coming to see him in the mental hospital. I also did not expect to like him as much as I am.

Sleepy Hollow

That sounds promising but I am super skeptical at this point.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The Supergirl pilot was pretty fucking awesome, reportedly.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Did you really like it, Tom? I (reportedly) watched it and found it rather dull and full of stock characterization. I also didn't think the set up for the longer term storyline to be particularly interesting.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I'm (reportedly) sort of in between on it. The was some good stuff. I like Kara and Olsen, but Cat Grant is a cartoon and the other guy seems kind of useless. I'm with Jon on the longer term story. There's been a bunch of superpowered villains on Earth for the last 15 years, and Superman has neither noticed nor taken care of them? I don't buy it.

It's a pilot, so it was very expositiony, and the characters aren't really fleshed out. They did a good job with Kara. The SFX are an upgrade over what they have on the CW. I really loved the truck crash.

I rolled my eyes at the premise, too. It does, however, just scream out for an appearance by Lobo. Which I don't know if they're going to do or not, but it would be FANTASTIC.

Yes, I meant to mention that about the effects. Really good.

Agreed on the effects, and I did like Jimmy. Otherwise, bleh.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I haven't watched anything but the trailer, but I love the actor who plays Jimmy. Question, were they calling him James and Jamie in the pilot, or was I just hearing it wrong? I was wondering if they didn't have the rights to use the name Jimmy Olsen?

Only his mom and the big guy call him Jimmy.
