Now we're saving a vampire from vampires. I got two words for that -- Nuh and uh.

Gunn ,'Underneath'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

It's CB's hairstyle on Julie Plec's new CW show, Containment.

Doesn't look too bad: [link]

I admire Plec's ability for plot twists and HSQ moments on her other two shows, so I may give this one a try. But I do worry whether she can pay attention to the administrative and procedural details inherent in a CDC/crisis show like this. Lots of hand-waving to law enforcement in Mystic Falls or New Orleans. Not unlike the Sunnydale Police Force.

Compassionately intolerant

I love Claudia Black, but Containment is the very definition of NOPE to my delicate sensibilities.

The hair is good though.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

NOPE. My reaction was, in fact, "I can't even." It's so wrong.

I *literally* can't even with that hair. The tone is all wrong for her - it looks like she's spent too much time in the tanning booths.

Yup. At first, I didn't actually believe it was her.

She was on one of the vampire shows on the CW (I can't remember whether it was Vampire Diaries or The Originals, because I only ever see the commercials, not the shows). The first time she turned up, I wasn't looking at the screen, but I heard her voice, whipped my head up, and "Holy shit, CLAUDIA BLACK!" Fortunately Tim is used to random fannish outbursts from me.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

When a mysterious and deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta, a vast urban quarantine is quickly enforced, forcing those stuck on the inside to fight for their lives.

That would be an impossibly vast urban quarantine. Also, a disease that's 100% fatal is not a successful disease. It would burn out before it could spread. Things like Ebola and Marburg are outliers, because they have animal hosts they don't kill.

Also, I've been kind writing a thing about Atlanta and flu. It's mine. They can't have it.

I'm going to watch Containment and yell a lot, aren't I?

Claudia Black's hair is wronger than a thing that is very, very wrong.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

At least her American accent has improved?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Signs point to yes.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Wow, Hitchhiker's reference.

Also, there is no frelling way that Caitlin doesn't know what a singularity is. If they wanted the exposition, they should have had Eddie ask the question. (Eddie is totally getting set up to make a noble sacrifice, isn't he?)
