A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I enjoyed that Flash episode thoroughly, except now it makes even less sense re. the timing of the Arrow crossover. Oliver was about to get freakin' married to Nyssa and Team Arrow was left to die in Nanda Parbat. When would Oliver have had time to come to Barry's rescue?!
I was wondering the same thing.
The timing got off. This Flash ep happened BEFORE last week's Arriw. They have been off for weeks now. This Arrow season finale tomorrow and Flash not until next week.
But if it happened before, how can Ollie sneak off to Central City to help Barry (and get nanite arrows from Ray) while still pretending to be brainwashed by Ra's?
ETA: I have to say the whole Ra's storyline this season makes no sense. He was hunting Merlyn originally for breaking the League's rules and destroying half of Starling City in an earthquake, but now Ra's wants to destroy Starling with a plague.
I agree about the Ra's storyline. Maybe all those dips in the Lazurus pit have made him completely bat-shit crazy.
And Ray, at some point still to be determined, knew that Oliver hadn't gone over to the dark side, customized some nanites for hime, and didn't come with to help out his new friend Barry?
I loved the easter egg about the missing test pilot from Ferris Air. (Which should be in Coast City.)
re: the timing of the Arrow crossover
When Barry first reaches out he finds out that Oliver is in Nanda Parbat and has to get the Argus transport through Lyla. I suppose it's possible that the action for the second half of Flash takes place after the action from the first half of tonight's Arrow. While not a true crossover, it's also not entirely inconsistent. I guess we'll see where Ollie ends up at the end of tonight's episode.
iZombie:
HOLY SHIT. This show is done fucking around.
I am pretty certain that the timing for the ep is before 3.21 of Arrow. That would be the last that Ray would be willing to help Oliver in my mind. And by episode layout we know that Arrow is one full episode ahead of Flash.
Oliver hopping across hemispheres to help out isn't really a concern with Barry providing transportation, is it? I mean, if there were any 10 minutes where he wasn't onscreen in an
Arrow
episode, Barry could have run him over and back during that.
CBS is putting Supergirl on opposite Gotham.
