"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Arrow was cracktacular tonight.

Ollie got played hard by the women.

Hell yeah!

Boy, Laurel/Nyssa vibe was THICK in this one. I don't think Katie Cassidy has ever had this much chemistry with anyone on the show. I mean, I like Laurel/Tommy well enough, but this was on another level.

I almost liked Laurel in this episode. Although I hated when she said something about what "we do" because I still don't think of her as part of team Arrow.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I think the main problem with Laurel is all of her major storylines have involved ridiculous melodrama. She hasn't had a chance to actually be happy much. With Cisco on The Flash last week and this week with Nyssa she got a chance to portray some actual warmth, instead of just using her "Authoritative Lawyer Voice" and scowling.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Agree with the craziness of Arrow.

And - just my opinion - Ras is not my idea of a matchmaker.

If Ollie is supposed to be the new Ras, why does the old Ras seem to still be in charge of everything. Or is Ollie just supposed to be the heir? Also thessaly made an interesting observation the other day that I thought I would post here. Thea has now also faced Ras and lived, so does that mean she could also have the potential for taking over as Ras?

The way I understood it (I may be wrong ... with this show, who can tell), Ollie is the heir, but the current Ras is still The Man. I don't think Thea counts because she only survived because he let her go into the Lazarus Pit ... and, also, I think 'cause she's a girl.

I believe the difference between Ollie and Thea is Ra's intended to kill Ollie, but he lived while he was intentionally only critically wounding Thea so Ollie would be forced to use the Lazarus Pit on her.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Woohoo, caught up on these shows!

Gotham - I’m liking the Wayne Enterprises developments. Especially Lucius Fox, but Bunderslaw is also interesting. Not sure about everything else. The Ogre thing didn’t really payoff.

OUaT can still win me back. Lily could be interesting. I mean, she hatched out of a dragon’s egg, I want to like her, they just have to meet me halfway.

Barry explaining that he has traveled back in time once and maybe Cisco remembers getting killed made me so happy. More cards on the table, superheroes in general, please. WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT KILLING CISCO! That is quite enough of that!

Still very confused about Wells/Thawne, what he wants and why he has Gideon. i actually do have faith that it will make some kind of sense eventually but I don’t even have a theory at this point. It’s interesting that he likes Barry.

Shades of Duncan Idaho on Arrow. Big time. Ra’s is weirder than usual with his fatherly choices. Maybe because he’s so old his cultural norms are hella weird? Besides the ruler of the league of assassins thing, which is bound to warp you I guess. But it’s hard to make sense of his motivations.

Thea is doing a good job of staying my favorite! On the one hand, I would like for the character to choose happiness and go find Roy because there is not enough of characters making the choices that have a good chance of making them happy in general, but on the other she’s my favorite, don’t leave!

And now I can go back and read what y'all said while I was unsubscribed...

I guess I'd better move Jonathan Strange to the top of my to be read queue...

I don't think the problem with young Bruce/Selina scenes is the writing.

My problem with them is more existential. I just find young Bruce knowing young Selina problematic and weird. I did like the bit where she pushed Payne out the window and Bruce was horrified. That was okay, but in general it's the idea I don't like more than the execution. I suppose a flawless execution could make me okay with the idea, but that seems like a lot to ask.

Gives a new meaning to hand-waving...

BWAHAHAHA!

Genius.

Oh, shoot, I did not pay attention to Arrow's credits.
