I only know this from the finale of season 2 since I watch a season late on Prime, but I just watched it. The lady who showed Sarah the boy clones described Topside as some sort of secret international conglomerate of corporations who are working to a monopoly in all things biotechnology. So they are secret to avoid trade laws I guess and also to be MYSTERIOUS. Dyad is just one of their minions.
