Forgot to mention, I loved Hamill doing his Krusty the Clown voice when his joke bombed at the charity gala.
This show is cast SO WELL. I'm so glad they got Hamill to be OG Trickster.
Womack ,'The Message'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

One thing I will give the CW, they show respect and affection for the beloved super hero shows of yesteryear like nobody's business.
For the Supergirl TV series, (on CBS, but the same producers), they've already announced that they've cast Dean Cain and Helen Slater in undisclosed roles.
I found that episode of The Flash a delight except for the "we must keep Iris in the dark!" paternalistic bullshit. You bring *Eddie* into the secret and not tell Iris? Candace Patton is adorable and the writing for her has been so fucking frustrating, I can't even. The show is doing SO WELL in most other aspects so this just drives me up the wall.
Wells whispering into Barry's ear about the power of the speed force and the electricity cracking in his every nerve got me all hot and bothered, I won't lie. Why you gotta be so attractive, Tom Cavanaugh?

Yeah, Iris is written SO BADLY, which is annoying as hell, but I can't fault Candace Patton for that.
And after letting Eddie in on Barry's not-very-secret secret, it beggars belief that they're still keeping it from Iris. I mean, Captain Goddamn Cold knows Barry is the Flash, and yet Iris still doesn't.
Maybe she can join Quentin Lance and Thea's support group of "Everyone I Love Has Been Lying To Me And They Say It's For My Own Good But Mostly I Think They're All A Bunch Of Dickbags." (They need a better name.)

Right? Daaaaaang, Wells.
I really hope the show keeps him next season, because Cavanaugh is just fantastic. Wells might be my favorite character (or is neck-and-neck with Joe).
To my eyes Cavanaugh looks like he hit every branch of the ugly tree on the way down and got gassed with Joker venom when he hit bottom, but this show has made me appreciate his acting like I never did before.
That doesn't even read as English to me. I've had a mad crush onCavanaugh since he was a man acting like a dog on Providence. And clearly Ed.

THAT's where I know him from! He is crushworthy to me to.

Oh, good. Not just me.
I thought he was weird-looking in Ed, but I find him oddly attractive in The Flash.
IIRC. msbelle and I both also find (found?) Mick Jagger attractive, so we have that in common too.
