Inara: Mal, this isn't the ancient sea. You don't have to go down with your ship. Mal: She ain't going down. She ain't going anywhere.

'Out Of Gas'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Cool DW 4x08 speculation from the TWoP thread: "You've got a brain the size of a planet, and suddenly you're all alone with little to do and nobody to talk to for a whole century. So you do what the Toclafane did: you regress yourself to a child, and transport yourself to 21st-century England--only for you, it's just a self-imposed virtual reality. It's a way to stay close to sane and close to happy.

"Now imagine you're building the library. Problem with a computer the size of a planet: how can you possibly maintain it? How can you make alterations, or fix problems? You'd need a really powerful diagnostic computer, and you'd need it to be nearby. So you hollow out a great big moon, build it inside that, and and put it in orbit.

"The diagnostic computer is simpler, and more stable. It's stayed aware of what's going on, but it let CAL have its fantasy. But now there are lives at stake, so it's projected an avatar of itself into CAL's world to gently pull it back to reality. Naturally, it came in the form of Dr. Moon, psychiatrist."

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I like that! Although the first place my mind went at "brain the size of a planet" was Marvin the Paranoid Android. ...Which would be pretty awesome, actually!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Did anyone else watch Heatstroke?

Not only was Wayne in it, Francesca Bueller (aka Minister Ahkna from PKW) was in it, and it was written by David Kemper and Ricky Manning, the executive producers of Farscape. I haven't watched it yet, though, because Aztec Rex was sooo bad.

Heatstroke: I didn't see Aztec Rex. This movie wasn't so bad it was good - it just seemed like a miss.
