Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Powers, PlayStation's new superhero drama, is just awful

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Powers was my gateway comic, so I'm sad to hear the show doesn't live up to its promise. Sigh.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I didn't find it as bad as they did, and I disagree with their point that it should be primarily about superpowers and not about the crime and detective work, because that was basic to the book, at least early on. And the last scene, with Walker and Callista on the rooftop, I think, was what they were looking for.

I do think they've completely missed the boat on Walker. For one thing, he should be bigger than Copley is. He should be Christopher Reevish or bigger. He should dwarf Deena. And they're right that the constant referral to Walker losing his powers gets tiresome, although there was plenty of that in the book, too, just not all in one episode.

Hey, iZombie starts tomorrow -- would we discuss it here?

We'll end up watching it on a different day, because it's opposite SHIELD, but we'll still watch it.

iZombie

Yes! And it’s a Rob Thomas show, so it pretty much has to be good!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It definitely seems like it would fit in here. I'm wary of zombie fictions when the zombies are more like vampires, but I'll probably watch the premiere at least.
