Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Is Calvin the reporter? I missed the beginning which must have had the introductions. He's cute.

A 100,000 word history of Doctor Who? That it is incredibly thorough goes without saying. Here you are: [link]

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The Wheel of Time pilot aired last night -- as an infomercial.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Julian Sands was in front of me at the endless line for parking structure paymachine when we went to see an NT Live performance. He joined in genially with the general muttering about the price/location/complexity of the parking. Still handsome.

Yep. I like him. I kinda wish they'd skipped Hawley altogether and introduced him earlier in the season.

brillig

Tonight's Forever made me cry in a good way. I didn't even see some of the twists coming, and I looked at the clock half way and said "It's only half over?" It's handling some of the ongoing arcs very nicely.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I know it can't really be helped given the source material, but is anyone besides me lamenting the plot necessity of having a Victor Garber character instead portrayed by Robbie Amell?

Haven't been too thrilled with this season of Arrow, but amazingly, they more or less fixed everything I hated about this season with this one episode.

Good acting from Amell and Blackthorne, too.

Except Laurel. Nothing can fix Laurel.
