Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I know it goes without saying, but I really wish ita were here to give her opinion.

I don't mind Katrina when she's part of The Team, but in eps like this where she's keeping Ichabod away from Abbie, I do not see the point of her. This show is about one thing, and that is Ichabod snarking at Abbie about modernity and making that face with the eyebrows at her, and anything that gets in the way of that has to go.

That was Dawn as Abigail Adams, wasn't it? I recognized her instantly in her role as demon-bait for the main character and their redheaded witch friend to spring into action.

Yup. I thought so during the opening scene, and then she was in the credits (not the main-cast-they-have-pictures credits; the ones after the opening credits) (I am tired and words come no easily). She totally pulled me out of the show every time she was on, because, well, she's Dawn.

Bwah! It took me a while to place her, but if she had shrieked for Katrina to get out of her room I'm sure recognition would have been instant.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

yep, pretty much. She was too young/had no gravitas for Abigail.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Abigail Adams would have been in her 30s. However, by 1777, she had had six children, one stillborn, in 10 years. She had run the farm during John's many absences. It seemed through those years that he was only home long enough to get her pregnant again. When money ran short because he was off revolutionizing instead of lawyering, she tracked down clients with unpaid bills and demanded payment. It's much easier to believe in Abigail Adams as supernatural crime fighter than it is to believe in Dawn as Abigail Adams.

I'm praying for a "Prison Break" joke.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Well it does look like they're going to prison.

(edit: ...or not.)

Plus added Ghostbusters joke. What's not to like?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I found the Librarians finale fairly satisfying.

I found it very satisfying. Interesting treatment of fate.
