Buffy. When I saw you stop the world from, you know, ending, I just assumed that was a big week for you. Turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of 'apocalypse.'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Seriously though, that fight was fucking brutal. I thought parts of the episode were kinda lumbering, but those last few minutes were a thing of beauty. Gorgeously filmed, tremendous fight choreography, great music -- just, really well done. Ra's death blessing made the hair behind my neck stand up.

Apparently they shot the scene on location rather than sound stage. Those actors were doing the shirtless fight scene in actual freezing temperature.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Aye, the Sword in the stone is not Excalibur, in fact it is mostly films and tv that have conflated the two.

Oh! here's an excellent Wiki.

That aside, it doesn't keep me from thinking about someday using my Dremel to cut a slot into a small rock for my mini Excalibur letter opener.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Having nothing better to watch I tuned in to the Librarians TV show, and dear God did someone's daughter make their minotaur costume for a gradeschool play? I've seen school mascots that looked more realistic and scarier.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Eh, it wasn't a great costume but it did the job ok for me. Transforming the minotaur into a biker dude for the bulk of its screen time was a smart move, though.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I haven't seen tonight's Librarian yet, but the Ursula costume on OUAT was horrible.

That one - if it was on Face Off I would say it was a bad concept and they should start all over.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Re-watched Man in the Yellow suit.

I am now quite certain that Wells is time looped, but maybe not in the same spot in his timeline that I thought he was.

Curiouser and curiouser.

I saw a "friend of a friend" post (I'm pretty sure) on FB wherein the poster realized why she remembered the actor who played Barry Allen, and I thought, "Huh, I wonder whether I've seeing him before," so I clicked on the link.

Now, I was pretty sporadic with Glee back when I watched at all, but I totally remember Sebastian! He was such a smarmy ass! Let me just say that my admiration for Grant Gustin's ability to -- well, act -- just multiplied (from a pretty high place to begin with). In Glee, I just hated that kid. And in The Flash, I find him unfailingly likeable and awesome. So much so that I didn't even recognize him from the prior jerky character. Nice.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

unfailingly likeable and awesome

So very much this. It's not like I watch Arrow for anything above Ollie's neck. But Flash? All him and Det. Allen.
