Reynolds, I'm a dangerous-minded man on a ship loaded with hurt. Now, why you got me chatting with your peons?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Last night, when Dr. Wells went into his secret room, I noticed that the walls look like Braille (for giants). Am I slow on the uptake, or was this not clear in earlier episodes?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So Wells beat himself up? Why did he need shenanigans to get a tachyon thingy? I mean, he already had it/the potential for it, right?

And we have another speedster, or maybe Barry goes back in time to try and save his mother?

Am I slow on the uptake, or was this not clear in earlier episodes?

Are you thinking it has a narrative rationale, rather than just being a fancy design choice?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So Wells beat himself up?

That's my working theory.

Why did he need shenanigans to get a tachyon thingy?

So that he could have the ability to go back and time and beat himself up.

I mean, he already had it/the potential for it, right?

I'm thinking he lost all his tachyons when he originally went back to kill Barry's Mom, and didn't have the ability to generate new ones until now.

I obviously could be completely wrong about all of this.

But he could have stopped before the beatdown, right? Didn't they already have the thingy?

I missed something obvious here...

I'll buy that.

Forever trivial question: Why is being in loose boxers indecent exposure? I was expecting (and would judge) the banana hammer, but shorts equivalent?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Improperly secured fly? I don't know, boxers cover more than a lot of swimsuits that are perfectly acceptable in public, but maybe it's the context of wearing something that's supposed to go under clothes that makes it indecent?

brillig

Underwear that's actually underwear and not skimpy outerwear makes people twitchy.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

AHAHAHAHA OMFG.

(Uhm, I just finished watching Arrow).

I mean, in the back of my mind, I thought they might try something like this, but thinking and doing are two different things.
