Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Bad Wolf

And we're all agreed that D'eanna's talking to Anders in the promo, right? Nice try with the fakeout, promo editors, but come on.

Definite fake out.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I know - what was that cat we were seeing? Or are we meant to think that weeks have passed?

I think the cat was Romo's equivalent of Head!Six. He was the only one seeing/talking to it. The real cat was rotting in the carry-on bag.

Art Crawl!!!

Must re-watch. I could swear that Lee reacted to it - even though he was talking about not seeing. (How did he not smell it?)

I thought he had as well. He at least reacted to the empty food dish he kicked on the floor, which I had thought was odd.

Bad Wolf

I believe he said something like. Do you ever feed this thing, where is it anyway, and Romo avoided.

Which, as a cat owner with several half-eaten dishes lying around the apartment, because even when they're hungry they're picky, indicates that a cat has eaten sometime recently, not that they're being starved.

I guess Lee and the writer of that line doesn't have experience with cats. Silly.

Cereal.

So, Romo seeing his dead cat: post-traumatic-stress projection, or Cylon projection?!

It was actually quite fascinating seeing Romo with his glasses off. They literally and figuratively took the shades off of him. So wasn't expecting that. I was also quite happy to mentally exclaim "Lampkin!" and not "Badgerses!" when I saw Mark Sheppard back on my screen. Good character.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think this jaunt of the Slytheen was probably their best--for some reason they had menace this time. Perhaps because there was no farting? Mr. Smith going dark also had menace.

I liked Dad stepping up to the plate and helping out, and all the K9 fanboys and girls must be well pleased as he swoops in for the save. I really like this show. I haven't watched all that much YA since actual YA days, so I have no idea if it's typical of the genre--I mean, is it even A, or is it just kid's TV?
