A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I've been enjoying Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer a lot
I have to give Brandon Routh MAJOR props, because Ray Palmer is being a creepy creeper AND YET he's ridiculously endearing. (Also, the show's not even being remotely subtle with the Palmer Tech logo is it? Plus the whole dwarf star mining thing [handwave handwave] and the suit specs.)
YOU HAVE NO ONE BUT YOURSELF TO BLAME, OLIVER. Poor idiot.
That man is so lousy at relationshipping. I enjoyed Diggle busting him about his bullshit "I can't be with anyone" line.
On the other hand, WTF Diggle, telling Felicity that Ollie can't get his head in the game because of her??? I enjoyed Felicity telling Diggle that it is 100% not her problem that Ollie can't use his words like an adult. Because she's right.
I will be so happy if we never see that DJ again. And yet I fear we're going to see a lot more of him. Meh. Can't Daddy Merlyn take him out?
I kind of liked Cupid, despite the fact that she did that bullshit little-girl vocal inflection that drives me up the damn wall. You are a grown-ass woman. Talk like one.
Not sure if Krysten Ritter is right for the role, but I like Krysten Ritter.
I can totally hear her saying "Oh, my god, Clint! You had sex with her?" to Jeremy Renner just before they find out that "Wanda" was a Doombot.
Silly thought: What is the key tenet of Central City nihilists? "Grod is dead."
Yeah, annoying DJ was annoying. I especially didn't appreciate him "saving the day" after Thea rightfully kicked him out for being a pompous ass earlier.
Someone on another board mentioned they were expecting Cupid to try to start crap in the club and Thea to take her down hard, which would have been amusing.

I was wondering if that would happen, but I don't think the show wants to tip its hand about Thea being a badass this early. And, hey, if annoying DJ comes back, maybe Roy can parkour at him.
Third time's a charm. Fox orders yet another Global Frequency pilot: [link]
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, written by Rockne S. O’Bannon (who is kind of responsible for Constantine), so it's probably going to suck.
Rockne S. O’Bannon
Wasn't he involved with Farscape though?
Wasn't he involved with Farscape though?
He was, so that's promising, right?
Man, that 2005 pilot was so good.
Wrt Arrow. I am a little surprised with myself in how hard I am in the Oliver Felicity camp. I actively dislike Ray. And am miffed with Felicity being all enamoured of the dress and jewels to the point that she was. Her speaking about how great a guy he is and his intentions for the minerals being only for good felt unearned. Now granted Ollie is relationship stupid and not talking to her and just getting over himself is an issue, but I think I feel there should be more eps of just middle ground with all this, not fancy dresses and dates and kisses. I scowled.
Dj guy for some reason did not bother me. But if it results in angry face Roy, I will hate everything. I have enjoyed Roy so much more this season since we are not just getting angry face bad acting there.
Lastly, go away Laurel.
Oliver being a dumbass about relationships is par for the course for him (his interactions with Carrie here reminded me a lot of Helena episodes), but I thought Felicity was super-OOC in this ep. Like, Felicity I know and love would not be beaming by Ray's side at QC's rebranding ceremony -- she damn well knows this would hurt Oliver. Regardless of relationship drama, he's still one of her closest friends. She would have at least *talked* to Oliver about it rather than letting him learn it on TV. And that gushy speech at the dinner about Ray was a real WTF moment. Did we skip a bunch of episodes or something?
I ship Oliver/Felicity pretty hard but I actually don't mind Felicity moving on. What I don't like is when the writers fuck with characterizations to manufacture drama and angst.
