'Lies My Parents Told Me'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I loved the polling place part of Sleepy Hollow so much! Voting and Sassy Ichabod are two of my favorite things. "American Idolatry.... I know what it's called!" Hee.

Concur!

Overall, I thought the episode was kind of blah, but the polling place was excellent, and "I need to internet immediately," and then being impatient with dial-up... Mison manages all that stuff so masterfully.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

And Abby gave Ichabod the "I Voted!" sticker ... I hope he appreciated it.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Polling place scene = ADORABLE.

Mystical pregnancy bullshit = UGH. Can genre shows quit doing this to their female characters already? It's such a fucking tired cliché.

It would have been bad if they'd done it to Abby, but Katrina is already a mother, and Henry cooperating in perverting his mother's role is more horrible.

That was Moloch in the jar at the end, right? I'm thinking Henry had a plan B because he knows the heroes always save the day, and the point was to get Moloch onto this plane of existence in some form.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'd like to see a male mystical pregnancy. That's the only mystical pregnancy I ever want to see on tv ever again.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I think "I must Internet...immediately!" will be my new motto.

I'd really like for Irving to get more than 60 seconds of screen time. Dang.

I liked Ichabod's "criminal profiler--specializing in historical recreations" cover. I think he's been watching some TV in his spare time.

In between fragging ChiefWiggum69 in Halo. (Which, again, I would TOTALLY watch.)

Do you think Katrina will try to update Ichabod's wardrobe?

And I wonder if Abraham will have more loyalty to Katrina than Moloch.
