Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Hmm, I wonder if the pages his dad destroyed in the contract were just references to this, or also included some clause for how Sam could get his soul back that would be detrimental to his father. If this turns out to be the case (which looks likely).

I don't think so, his dad seems to care about him, and that's not parent behavior. I think that maybe the price for Dad's (unasked for) immortality was that Mom had to carry the Devil's child.

also, thanks Jon.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I really don't want Sam to be the devil's son.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I agree with Vortex. The dad seems to care too much about Sam for his behavior to be purely selfish. There's got to be more to it, and I'll be disappointed if there isn't.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

BSG: I know my head's a little fuzzy because I have a bad cold, but this episode didn't seem to make a lot of sense to me. And holy frak! the preview!

Bad Wolf

I'm right there with you.

No BSG thoughts? I'm dying to hear what you all have to say about this one.

Awwwww, Adama is going after the woman he loves, and finally admits it.

Things will hit the fan when he finds out he left a Cylon in charge of the fleet. And did Tigh really impregnate Six or was it Baltar? If it's Tigh then isn't that the first actual Cylon-Cylon baby?

Just can't get my head around NewApollo being president and OldApollo being VP. Lee has done nothing to deserve this, seems like a cop out to bring something to end, altough I don't know what.

She's dying anyway... when did he suddenly believe in miracles

Lee has done nothing to deserve this

And wasn't it incredibly transparent what they were leading up to.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

wow. I knew that Lee would be the perfect candidate (aka "perfectly transparent") for president once the subject came up, but I so did not anticipate Romo's reaction. My cat was on me when Romo pulled the gun and I couldn't check the time on the clock, but I was so scared that was the end of the episode. The show really seems to do Conviction!Lee well (superbly) but in between they just flounder with him. Jamie Bamber really shone when giving Romo a piece of his mind at gunpoint. It almost made me wonder if that was Romo's whole point: to see what Lee was really made of --with no intention of actually killing him??? Put his feet over the fire ::flashes on Firefly and the thing about Shan Yu, the volcano, and finding out who your neighbor really is that Book told Simon::

Also, confused on when exactly the cat died, since Lee said it'd been dead for a week(s?) and we just saw it and I don't think that much time passed.

Did not expect Natalie to die once we saw she made it through the first several moments, but loved and was intrigued by Cottle's taking of her hand.

Adama and Roslin, sitting in a tree....

Still weirded out by confirmation that Tigh and Six have been getting it on. How the hell did the medical staff find out she was pregnant? Don't they have to run a specific test for that?

Maybe it was time for her annual PAP smear.
