But the non-existence of cell phones would ruin things--it would be like American cops without guns--it's your job to write around it, because basic plausibility should be front and centre.
'Objects In Space'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I watched the first two episodes of Forever. There are elements of Highlander to this, without the swords and pompousness. Dr. Henry has a stalker who says he has the same condition Dr. Henry (to differentiate him from Sleepy Hollow's Henry) and who says he's 2000 years old.
for what it's worth, I was in a bookstore last night and saw (1) a book of Sleepy Hollow and (2) The Secret Journal of Ichabod Crane (secret? really?)
If the tie-in novel was Children of The Revolution, it's by my long-time friend Keith. He was very excited to get the assignment.
Sleepy Hollow has a comic book coming out soon, too. With a back-up story by Noelle Stevenson.
Theo, I think that was it. I'd just looked at the "secret" journal (seriously ... it says RIGHT ON THE FRONT it's the secret journal ...aaarrrggghhh ... why do I keep trying to make things make sense?) so I just kind of thought "huh ... book" and moved on.
Ioan Gruffud's costar, Alana De La Garza, reminds me of a younger Michelle Forbes, which is good, because she's not just hot, but attractive in a mature, strong way. And yes to the New Amsterdam vibes.
Alana De La Garza is a breathtaking woman. She's not moxieful like Forbes (well, *as* moxieful), but she's gorgeous: [link]
Having Selfie on in the background while cooking dinner has convinced me that I need never watch any of the 11th Doctor episodes if there's even a chance of Karen Gillan being in them.
Matt, she’s unrecognizable in that awful show. She’s my absolute favorite of the companions in DW and well worth a watch, really. I am in complete denial about her being in Selfie. I refuse to acknowledge it.
Also just caught up on Sleepy Hollow:
Ichabod's bank rant was an excellent Ichabod-gets-angry-at-modernity scene. You'd think those would get schticky and annoying, but he just SELLS it, you know?
ALSO, Franklinstein's Monster? Abbie, you are awesome and I love you.
YES, Jessica. Totally agree on both.
