A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
So a couple of days ago, the Gotham TV show put up signs in my neighborhood that they were going to be filming. Last night they started clearing a whole block to make room for the production vehicles -- like, towing cars and stuff. But this morning, the block was empty, and none of the crew had arrived.
The pilot looked like it was entirely shot on a sound stage, so maybe they all forgot they needed an actual location today?
(Also, the pilot was incredibly stupid. Truly, deeply, very, very, stupid. I'm not even sure Ben McKenzie's worried-puppy-dog face can lure me into watching any more, and I *love* that face.)
Oh, no, really? I was all set to love Gotham.
Man, Ben McKenzie is about the only thing that has me interested in it. I'll at least give the first few episodes a shot.
The promos looked so good, though!
The writing is SO bad. Every single villain-to-be is introduced with the verbal equivalent of a giant flashing neon sign and then just in case you missed it, their actual literal name is used about five seconds later.
I still don't understand why they went this route instead of just adapting Gotham Central.
I'm a little late with this alert, but there are 2 episodes of Defiance tonight.
Just in case anyone missed it or had it fall off their radar, the new season of Doctor Who starts tomorrow night.
Thanks for the heads up sj. I watched the first Defiance ep last night and was totally and completely unsatisfied! I'm confused and suddenly uninterested.
I'll try the next to see if it helps.
Anne, I'm on pins and needles! I feel like the build up in my own mind is so great, I may just be destined for meh.
I hope not!
I watched a few 10 episodes yesterday...Sigh.
