You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think the timey wimey twists of Continuum are too much for me to follow. But maybe it doesn't matter if I don't know who wants what or what timeline anyone came from anymore.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They have the facility to reset almost everything at any time--I was liking the teamup at the end, though. Shame Andromeda didn't live to see it.

Yeah, I think I'm happy with the set up for next season and just not worrying about whatever was going on before will probably be fine.

I do feel like if I sat down and marathoned the whole thing I might actually get it. Or get more. But I probably will not find the opportunity to do that.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm seriously jonesing for more Orphan Black - I was missing it so much tonight. Label me hooked by the clone club.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Not surprisingly, Constantine can't smoke on TV.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

They could have him recently quit, and that would make him nicely irritable (even more than normal), and they could still have the cancer storyline. That storyline is a defining part of the character, not sure how they'll write around it if they can't do it.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Well, smoking isn't the only reason people get lung cancer it's just one of the most-common.

True, Kalshane, but it kinda mattered that he did it to himself.

Understood. I'm only familiar with the character in passing (but looking forward to the show) but I can understand that the why makes a difference.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Next thing you know, you can't have sex outside of marriage, get drunk, murder or rape people on TV, and that will stop all of that from happening in real life.

Actually, while I think it's cool to stop presenting characters smoking, since it is such an accessible vice for kids to get into (and every time I see a character onscreen smoking, I want a butt), it seems a bit silly when it's not just a whim of new writers, but a character trait and plot point (and also and in-built PSA: hey kids, don't smoke -you'll get lung cancer!) of an established character beyond the network.

I'd also assume that Constantine is primetime, so all that other stuff we don't want minors seeing or emulating will still be there.
