Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Did Moonlight fail because they "defanged" the Vampire myth too much?

BSG ratings are up!

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Blood Ties had the same fate with a very "fanged" Vampire myth. I do worry that despite the Sarah Connor Chronicles success, with the cancellation of BT, Moonlight, Dresden Files, Journeyman, New Amsterdam (deservedly), Jericho, and probably another that I'm forgetting, that any experiment into shows with a supernatural flair will have been deemed a failure in the bigger picture. Jericho wasn't supernatural, but it was definitely alternate universe.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

the cancellation of BT, Moonlight, Dresden Files, Journeyman, New Amsterdam (deservedly), Jericho,

well, aside from BT, which never should have been on Lifetime, and Dresden Files, those shows all had other issues.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

The track record of those shows certainly don't seem to be hurting the genre shows that are showing up EVERYWHERE on the 2008/2009 schedule.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

those shows all had other issues.

What do you mean by other issues? Is there something in the track history I'm missing?

Do all those shows have comparable ratings?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I tried to like Moonlight, but just couldn't connect with it on any level. None of the actors could engage my interest. And the plots that I saw were pretty laughable—I completely checked out when they found a working ice machine in an abandoned desert gas station to provide Mick with his life-saving bath.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Was Galactica out of range of the resurrection ship when Athena shot the Six? I know they were out of range on Starbuck's ship, but I figured they were now in range since they sent a raptor out to look at the resurrection ship... Maybe I'm holding out hope cause I like that Six.
