I was crushed by the end of last week's episode, too, but the cause of it fleshes out (no pun intended) Victor's background. And just like every other fridging, it gives him a new motivation. Plus, I think Rory Kinnear is incredible.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
That was very upsetting but I think the Frankenstein story is my favorite so far. Even so.
I wonder if the pilot wasn't actually split into two episodes?
I think there's just a lot of threads to weave together, and it was necessarily going to take a little while. With the most recent episode, I felt like I had a better handle on what the overall arc of the plot will be.

Oh, shit. Sorry.
Tatiana Maslany just blows me away. Every episode I have to remind myself that all those people are her. And I have to say, Orphan Black is the first show in a long time that keeps hitting me with OMGWTFHSQ moments and yet none of those moments seem to come from nowhere just to shock the audience; it's all organic to the story. As if the writers had a plan or something, IDK.
If they don't have a plan, they are really superb improvisers. Evidence for this: in one of the early episodes, talking to the representatives from the Koreas, Rachel referred to the Supreme court that kind of Jossed a lot of the implications of the copyright claims in the DNA as the completion of the first tranche of results achieved by their lobbying. Nice save, show. Well played. Minor example, but the fact that they pay attention to that level of detail is telling.
I've heard they have a three-year plan. The Supreme Court was nice improv, though.
Visual recap of the latest Orphan Black. [link] I lost it on the fourth picture.
