Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Also, I'm thinking it's over with him and the morgue guy now for sure.

Man, I hope not. But that's a lot to get past.

Because books.

They were delicious together. But getting caught lube-handed, as it were, has to be a huge turn-off.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Not only does Cal have a gun. He has an RV under another name for which he as fake ID. And a gas mask. So definitely suspicious.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I freaked when Paul pulled that gun on Felix. Felix gets hurt and I'm not going to be happy at all. Felix is my favorite character.

Oh, god, the rape fear. The effective relief on his face when it turned out to be "just" what it was. Great work. Between that and the lube (lube!) they're doing a lot of things right.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Also, I sure did think for a second that someone got some time off, with Alison not appearing in the episode.

SERIOUSLY!!!

This show has me hooked more than anything I can remember in a long time.

Yeah, Felix going from "what are you gonna do?" To "Oh, god, what are you going to do!" hit really hard.

Because books.

Seeing Felix's control slip was awful. He seemed so young all of a sudden, and so vulnerable.

I know what I forgot to mention before -- Gracie. I was not expecting the lips sewn shut thing, or her mother's absolute viciousness. That was horrifying.

Yeah, it was. I'm gonna take a stand and say I don't like that crowd.

That image is horror movie trope, but it shocked me in this context. Yeah - I don't like anyone who thinks that's a valid punishment. They deserve a visit from Helena even if Gracie tried to kill her.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Yeah, Felix going from "what are you gonna do?" To "Oh, god, what are you going to do!" hit really hard.

Devastating.

Ok, that sniper scene with Helena and Sarah and Art? As good as the final scene in Rachel's shower last week. Helena is a great character because she is a true wild card, and as a viewer, I can't assume anything with her thoughts or actions or reactions.

I mean, she didn't kill Gracie last week, after Gracie tried very hard to kill her. I do not understand why.

The different sex scenes shown were crazy opposite, and the wrong one got interrupted! On the one hand, fun, silly, sexy, passionate. On the other, cold, super fucking freaky (what was UP with her sticking her fingers in his mouth like she was checking his teeth?), kinda rapey, with control and power and rage issues everywhere.

I fucking love Art and always feel safe when he's in the mix. I am sure that assumption will get killed off horribly.

Cal, I don't know what's up with him. he might just be living off the grid mountain man, but I don't know. Felix doesn't trust him, and I trust Felix pretty well with that.

Yeah, but she never suspected anything of Siobhan.

She did tell Sarah that Mrs. S was lying, that night in the birds' nest when everything went to shit. I don't think that Keira picked up on anything else because I think that Mrs. S genuinely wants what's best for Keira and Sarah and that comes through for Keira.

In conclusion: this had too much (read: any at all) Paul and too little (read: none) of Mrs. S.
