Hmm. It's sounds like the finest party I can imagine getting paid to go to.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I always sum up as "Being a vampire is haaaaaaaard!") (To be fair, when we see commercials for Reign, I sum *that* up as "Being royalty is haaaaaaaaaard!" That's basically how all CW shows go. [Being a vigilante who shoots arrows is haaaaaard!])

Not as hard as having a brother! That's like, the haaaaaaaaaaaardest.

Compassionately intolerant

Heh.

I have to say, as clunky as I thought the Reign season finale was, I am SO glad they stepped back from the ledge of spectral entity.

Not that I don't love me some supernatual phenoms, but I figure their rampant disregard of actual, you know, history in this historical drama is enough of a fictional manipulation to justify the gorgeous costumes and Dawson's Creek angst.

I was very sad to see our Liege bite it. He was my favorite character. But, given the visitations that led to his demise, perhaps we will see him again.

The super tricksy meet-cute between Leif and Red Vixen should prove interesting next season.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

WHO DIED!?!?!

DAMON AND BONNIE!

Whoa, that IS shocking.

Although I thought Bonnie was dead when I stopped watching, so I am confused.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

There's been a whole 'everyone can come back from the dead if they click their heels together really hard' thing going on for some time in TVD, but the storyline around this finale was designed to undermine that. It will certainly be irritating if they bring them back after *that* episode.

I am with -t. I thought Bonnie was dead already! But I can't imagine they would actually get rid of Damon, because he is so popular (unless the actors couldn't work together because they broke up).

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

They did the deaths in such a way that a lot of people will be deeply pissed off at the emotional manipulation if they bring them back. They've also written themselves into a corner where it will be very hard to do. But they've been renewed, so we'll see what they do!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Jesus - I just re-watched the last Orphan Black and that scene in Rachel's apartment just keeps putting me through the wringer. It goes from bad, to worst, to I didn't-expect-that-touching in such a short period of time that I still reel watching it.

I reran it a few times from the start of Daniel coming at Sarah in the shower on and it just WORKS. SO. WELL. The fact that they made both me and (I get the impression) Sarah sympathetic to Helena just astonishes me.

Dang, Grimm. That is a lot of stuff happening.

At least Monroe and Rosalee managed to get wed before all broke loose (or the hell breaking loose got to the wedding, anyway).
