Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Cop Daddy can die, so long as he appears in all of Laurel's Mirakuru hallucinations next season.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Dead-in--the-finale prediction:

Isabel: 90%. Unless they keep her on for next season and plan to give her some character development, but I'm not holding my breath.

Slade: 75%. I would love for him to be de-Mirakuru'd and given over to Amanda Waller so that he can join Suicide Squad but... uh, I feel like he's killed too many people?

Malcolm Merlyn: Um. 50%? I have no idea. *tosses a coin*

Sara: 55%. They've been writing toward her heroic self-sacrifice for half a season now. Other than my fondness for the character, I think it'd be a mistake to kill her off since she's got all interesting backstory to be mined. I don't think she'll stay on the show to become a regular, but having her go back with Nyssa to LoA would leave the door open for some fun plots in the next season. She can be the awesome recurring guest star!

Nyssa: 60%. If Sara lives, it would be because Nyssa sacrifices herself for her beloved.

Laurel: 20%. The producers are too married to the idea of her and Ollie to kill her off. Of all the characters, she'd be the one I won't be too sorry to lose.

Quentin: 30%. NOOOO DON'T DO IT.

Roy: 10%. They haven't really done much with the character yet, and he's got all that comic book backstory. Ehh. He's not my favourite.

Thea: 5%. C'mon, they're not gonna kill off both Oliver's mother AND the sister. This show can be grim, but it's not fucking nihilistic, yo.

Felicity and Diggle: 0%. BECAUSE I FORBID IT.

Ollie: Duh.

NO KILLING SLADE!

Deathstroke is too cool to die.

Slade: Gets cured of the Mirakuru, gets a shave and a haircut, and becomes CAPTAIN BOOMERANG in Central City.

I'm 110% fine with Laurel dying, but I also 110% predict she won't, because the producers seem determined to not budge from the comics canon of Dinah Laurel Lance becoming Black Canary (which, as I'm pretty sure I've said before, is annoying because they haven't felt the need to hew closely to comics canon on other things). (And I say that as someone who LOVES Black Canary in the comics and loves the Green Arrow/Black Canary relationship. But those are pretty damn different characters than the ones we have on TV. So let them be different, and stop pushing Laurel as the future Black Canary. Ugh.)

I'm guessing that Diggle, Felicity, Thea, and Roy survive. Although I kind of think Thea will join forces with Merlyn. Which would ROCK.

I really feel like a Lance is going to die, and I'm afraid it's going to be Cop Daddy, because he just got his detective badge back, and what's a bigger cliche than killing him at this point? Plus the show has already fridged 2 major female characters this season, and I want to believe they won't kill a third (Sara), which leaves Cop Daddy.

OTOH, the show has been telegraphing HARD that Sara's going to die. And given that Sebastian (R.I.P.) said Slade will go after whoever Ollie loves most, I suspect Slade will go after Laurel, and Sara will sacrifice herself to save Laurel. (In which case, NO KILLING OF COP DADDY.)

Merlyn won't die. I'm not spoiled, but I think the show knows what a goldmine they have in Barrowman.

I'm torn on Slade. I feel like he needs to die, but I hate to waste such a damn fine character. Plus, Manu Bennett. Maybe he can get cured and go away and become un-crazy.

[Sidebar: I feel about Slade how I feel about Beaver in Veronica Mars -- I *hated* what the show did to Beaver in the second season. HATED it. Because I liked him, and liked how he had developed. But that's the point, right? That's what makes it so much worse, that a character you liked (and maybe I'm the only one who liked Beaver right up until the point we found out he was fucked WAY up, but I really *did* like him) ends up being the bad guy. Anyway, I absolutely loved the S1 flashback friendship between Ollie and Slade on the island. LOVED. And yet when Slade Wilson is introduced, you know he has to become Deathstroke. And that absolutely KILLS me. Because I really liked Slade on the island. And I hate that he's the crazy bad guy now. Except Manu Bennett is so damn good at it.]

Isabel is probably going to die, which is okay, except, like I said above, I'm tired of women on this show getting killed. Except she's bad. Oh! Maybe she'll just lose an eye and then she and Slade can run off together and be crazy!

And here is my prediction for the final flashback of the show: Amanda Waller shows up to "rescue" Ollie from the freighter (or island, if somehow he ends up back on the island), only it's not an oh-thank-god-I'm-saved rescue, but an oh-shit-what-fresh-hell-has-my-life-become "rescue". Because the show has to address whatever backstory is between them, so I expect them to set it up for next season.

I loved the idea that Slade was killing the Starling City because Ollie loves it, and maybe that's who he was talking about all along. I have no idea what he's going to do next.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Amanda Waller shows up to "rescue" Ollie from the freighter

That would be awesome. I used to have zero time for island flashbacks, but they've introduced enough interesting plot threads that I'm looking forward to what they're going to do with them next season. We've got Oliver's relationship with Waller and ARGUS, how Sarah was recruited to the League of Assassins, how Ollie earned that Bratva Captain rank (which hopefully would mean more Anatoly, whom I adore), etc. All those things are waiting to be fleshed out.

There is apparently a preview clip floating around on the 'net and I am trying to be a good fangirl and not spoil myself (I did run across a bunch of stills from the finale on Tumblr because you know, Tumblr), but wahhhh, it's hard, Ma!

We're supposed to get storms tonight, and they had better not mess with Arrow. The power can go out at 9:00 (although it would be nice to have 10 minutes to post here after the show ends) and that's okay.
