Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Art Crawl!!!

Farscape Movie is a Go!!!

ust a little bit of, maybe interesting, information to report. ;-p Texting me from WonderCon, a very good friend of mine (@PaulBurrows) just left the Showrunners Panel at [WonderCon]. A panel member, non other than Rockne O'Bannon, the co-creator ofWarehouse 13, Defiance, and Revolution... who was also Farscape's creator and showrunner - has indeed CONFIRMED a Farscape movie is happening.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

No word on what degree the Hensons will be involved?

All is well that ends in pizza.

I'm assuming they will have a hand up there, somewhere.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh now that's just wrong.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Anyone watching Metal Hurlant Chronicles? Would you recommend it?

Compassionately intolerant

A segment of the Billie Piper panel at AwesomeCon, my very first ever con.

I stood outside the door for this one.

If you get to the end of the linked segment, you can find the entire panel...audio only.

Holy crap, I didn't realize there was ten minutes left.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Holy crap, I didn't realize there was ten minutes left.

That is literally the same thing I said when it went to commercial.

This show will do anything. God DAMN.

But seriously, as soon as Moira said "I know" and "I couldn't be more proud," I looked at Tim and said "She is so dead." I just didn't think it would be this episode, or that way. (On FB, Barb has been saying that Slade would re-create the "choice" Ivo gave Ollie, but she was predicting it would be Sara and Laurel. I really, REALLY didn't expect this.)

I feel like the episode was structured oddly, though; it seemed strange to not have Slade in the episode at all until the last 10 minutes. OTOH, keeping him out of it until them sure was a good way to bring the HSQ.

And Slade is such a fucking drama queen. No, can't just use a gun; he has to bust out his huge-ass sword (out of nowhere [I know he had on a big overcoat, but it *seemed* like it came out of nowhere]) and get all stabby.

This really is turning into the "Becoming Pt. 2" scenario of "take all that away, and what's left?" (I suppose that is what Slade said he was going to do, so it's hardly a revelation.) Ollie's lost the company, his mom, his ill-considered relationship -- I'm a little afraid of what's next.
