Smart move, brenda.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Also on the "finale didn't happen" train. First season still is a shining example as to how to do a reboot, though.
Aww, come over here BSG finale. Sit next to me and I'll appreciate you for the glorious hot mess you were always destined to be.
You can watch the first hour of the finale! It's really awesome and things blow up! The second half is where things get sketchy.
Reliving the show through Mark Watches helped me appreciate it again. I think I've made my peace with it as a whole.
I finally got caught on my DVR (just in time for everything to come back this week) and I agree that Ollie seemed to overreact quite a bit on finding out his mother was lying about Thea.
I would say, the way that scene was shot, that it was a stuntwoman working the salmon ladder for Sarah. The actress has some crazy abs, though.
I was amused by Felicity and Digg standing there watching her with the same head tilt, though.
Man, they need to find Digg something to do.
Was this the first time we didn't flash back to the island? I can't remember if with the episode that was showing the wheeling and dealings of the Undertaking had any island flashbacks, or if it was all set in Starling City.
I'm finding the lack of snark in the last few episodes of Almost Human disappointing (maybe they'll get back on track tonight.) I will say that while Detective Stahl comes across as generically pretty most of the time, she was stunning in that purple wig.
Anybody else watching Almost Human. I like the character interaction, and I think the world-building has been pretty good. The stories have been a tad generic week-to-week, but they serve both the characters and the environment.
I've really been enjoying it. I love the two main characters, and the secondary characters are pretty okay. And I always like to see John Larroquette.
The twist at the end was pretty cheesy. But overall I enjoy it a lot.
I like it. I am intrigued by the wall and what Mr Larroquette has gotten himself into on the other side. I hope that in the future Lili Taylor will get to show more of her acting chops, presuming the show continues. I can't believe the season finale is next week.
I'm a week behind, but I have also been enjoying Almost Human. I wouldn't weep if it got canceled, but Karl Urban is always good times, and I really like the actor playing Dorian.
