A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Well, I don't think Davies' is Davies' Whedon

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Whedon == Davies
---------- = ---------
Minear === Moffat

So, if Moffat is Davies' Minear, then Davies is Davies' Whedon.

Except, not really.

(I wonder what happens if you cross-multiplied?)

Man, I suck at formatting!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

One would have to accept that Davies::Dr Who 2005 as Whedon::Angel for that particular Minear to Moffat comparison to pan all the way out. But if you want to leave the Whedonness out of it a bit and characterise Moffat as a very deft emotional writer who's done some consistently outstanding work for the franchise and is stepping up to the helm as a result, then he is Minearesque.

Although I was in no way sad to see Minear get more control over Angel I think that Angel was in better hands with Joss than Who was in Davies.

I think that still makes sense.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So, how about that Reaper finale? Definitely set up some interesting stuff for next season.

Art Crawl!!!

Wasn't that fun?

Now, I had thought that perhaps Sam was the devil's son - but last week - when all the demons leaped on that idea kind of changed my mind. So now, I'm thinking - Devil's Grandson? Because clearly, his Dad is not exactly human.

Oooh, that would be a neat twist.

Aaaand also, that Green card marriage storyline with Lucy Davis was a complete and utter waste of time, wasn't it? Isn't Ben supposed to be dating Dualla now?

Definitely. I'm interested in seeing where they take all of this next season. Also, didn't Sam have a younger brother in the first episode? Have we seen the brother since that episode?

I think he's off visiting Chuck Cunningham.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'd like to go on record as saying that, when I die, I'd really like someone to make a wicker man full of fireworks for me.

I'm thinking that Steve saved Sam, and the appliance drop didn't prove anything. Maybe Sam's father's deal with the devil was for immortality?
