Oh, Moloch = Holtz. Probably not quite a much of a father-y father figure, but you know, took him to a hell dimension (er, that is, Actual Hell), raised him into the man demon he is today, trained him to want revenge on his birth parents, etc.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Oh, yes, good point.
So fun to see Kristen in the credits! And also everything else. Obviously.
Right? I couldn't come in here to make sure I had actually read those credits right until I watched the while thing, because Holy Shit Spoilers, but I was very excited! Fistbump of reality confirmation.
And now I am all high on cliffhangery goodness! Please do not kill Jenny, though. Jenny who figured it out. Please. Sweet zombie Washington, let her live.
From Entertainment Weekly, on the finale of Sleepy Hollow, with the producer:
Last, I have to point this out — but poor Ichabod went through a lot of trouble to get new clothes from those reenactment people and he ended up getting buried in his brand new clothes.
[Laughs] That’s true. Maybe he should have stayed in the old one.
He should have worn the old one for traveling to Purgatory, of course! But are you going to have more fun with his clothes next season?
I think the reenactment he went to, we didn’t get to show it, but he actually bought a lot of clothes. They’re all still from the 18th Century — or at least costumes from the 18th Century. But he’ll have a larger wardrobe to choose from next season, and now he knows where to shop.
Ha! Shopping with the re-enactors! Though where is he getting his funds? No skinny jeans for Crane!
Though where is he getting his funds?
That's my question! How's he paying for his cell phone?
And does he have Abby's cell on him in the grave?
The girl Ichabod mistook for Katrina in the reenactment was Jane from Lizzie Bennet Diaries! Nice to see that talented cast get some work.
The Henry is Jeremy! reveal was crack-addled and honestly too out-of-the-blue for me to work, but I found the Purgatory believably creepy.
Poor Undead John Cho. I guess this will be the last we'll see of him, although he does seem to have nine (undead) lives so who knows.
HA - I can't believe I almost forgot that Ichabod was buried alive at the end of the ep. I guess I'm just so used to these characters being able to get out of life-or-death situations with not much effort, I assume he'll be ok?
And obviously, I missed that detail from the Angel/Connor parallels because I am not that bright.
I found the Purgatory believably creepy
One of the things that bugged me was Henry going on about not eating anything in Purgatory. Because that's not Purgatory, that's the land of the Fairies. (Or the Fae, or the Sidhe, or what you will.) Don't eat in the magical otherworld or you can't come back.
... otoh, I suppose it could also be a reference to the myth of Persephone, so I'll give it a pass after all.
I always sort of like things (shows, books, whatever) that compile different myths from different places in their "truth."
I'm good with Sleepy Hollow just making shit up. Mythical stuff, plot stuff, wardrobe stuff - it's all good.
I am so in love with the fistbump. I keep thinking about it - isn't that what every fistbump essentially means? I am really me, and you are really you, and we are actually here together. Love.
