A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

OK, more
Avatar.
First, a kid story: I came downstairs last night to find Mal swooshing his blanket (a pale greenish-blue) through the air and then swatting things with it. To my reflexive "What are you doing?!?" he replied calmly, "I'm a waterbender."
I consider us very lucky that he didn't think to drag the hose inside.
OK. Just watched The Storm. I'm a little confused about the timeline: Was Avatar Roku (sp?) gone when Aang was born? Was Roku gone when Aang was told he was the Avatar? The opening credits make it sound like the war was already underway when Roku disappeared, but in The Storm, the monk says "a storm is building and Aang has to be ready." And de-iced Aang doesn't seem to know about the war.
I was holding to the belief that Roku disappeared "just when the world needed him most," not because he was a dick, but because as a firebender he wouldn't be able to resolve the conflict against the Fire Nation. So he bailed so that the Avatar could be reborn as the next element in line.
But now it seems like he disappeared while Aang was still a novelty iceberg. So the avatariness can be in two bodies at once?
Also, OMFG I love this show. REALLY good writing.
Raq, your best bet is to ignore what they say in the opening credits, which really doesn't make any sense. There will be lots and lots of flashbacks in upcoming episodes, and eventually the timeline will fall into place.

Yep.
And, also, yeah, the opening credits narration is confusing. You'll find out the exact timeline later.
Steven Moffat named showrunner for Doctor Who season 5. (Casting spoiler for season 4 in the article. Spoily for UK and US speed viewers.)
Is RTD staying with the show in any capacity?
OM%*%#&^*@#%%&*%#@#$#^&*^%#$G! Best news ever!
this makes me really, really happy.

It doesn't look like it, but he sounds really enthused about Moffat.
My entire career has been a secret plan to get this job. I applied before but I got knocked back because the BBC wanted someone else. Also I was seven.
OMG SO ADORABLE.
The one Moffat mentions is the one seen in the preview at the end of the latest UK-aired DW, right? I didn't know we had a Moffat-penned episode coming up! AWESOME.
