Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Punishingly Intricate

If you could cast anyone you want as the Doctor, but within the shows budget, who you pick?

ooh, the first person I thought of was Olivia Coleman (although I couldn't remember her name) who was in Broadchurch w/ David Tennant, amongst other things. I think she'd be strong and, also, hilarious!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Sarah Parrish would be great too. She was Beatrice to Damian Lewis' Benedick.

Maria Doyle Kennedy who played Mrs. S. in Orphan Black. She does strong and funny so well.

Compassionately intolerant

Sarah Parrish

And the giant Jilli font in the first Donna Noble episode!

Maria Doyle Kennedy

And Catherine in the Tudors! I think she's fabulous.

Olivia Coleman

She's in a cute little video about NOT being tapped for Dr. Who because, after all, she's in everything.

I'd choose Aiden Gillen though his time of GoT might put him over-budget.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

OMG Claudia Black! I would watch Doctor Who every day and twice on Sundays if Claudia Black were the Doctor!

From Facebook, from Aim's DH suggests: Chiwetel Ejiofor

I'm sure he'd be great, but he's too high-profile as well.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Damian Lewis. The Doctor always wanted to be a ginger.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I definitely recommend watching The Thick of It to truly understand Capladi's facial acting.

It is truly hilarious that they chose Malcolm Tucker as the Doctor. I honestly jumped out of my skin when he regenerated thinking that he was gonna call Clara a c*nt and tell her he was going to wear her kidneys as cufflinks.
