A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I'm watching The Quatermass Experiment on hulu. It's pretty terrible, _except_ that it features David Tennant using his own accent.
In the story, (which was done better in a Primeval episode, if I'm honest) Tennant plays a doctor...small d.
During the filming, Tennant heard that he was cast as the big D Doctor. He kept it quiet, but the rest of the cast speculated. Jason Flemyng, the lead in this film purposely changed his first line to Tennant from, "Good to have you back Gordon" to "Good to have you back Doctor."
Heh.
We were watching the extras on The Hobbit discs, and they were talking about Sylvester McCoy. One of the casting directors said, "He's such a joy, so eccentric--and he's a Time Lord!" she grinned. Then she pointed to herself: "Nerd."
I find I like Jonathan Rhys Meyers' Dracula MUCH better whn he's following scents like a bloodhound and dismembering people.
Yeah. Too bad there isn't more of that.
What was the shocking thing that was supposed to happen at Mina's engagement party that would be a big game changer? I looked away for a minute and then Mina was excusing herself to get some air. Did Lady Jane's bustier finally have the containment failure that's been threatening?
Well, there was the vision or whatever that Grayson (I do not know what to call him) had of ripping open Harker's throat. But it didn't actually happen. I guess Mina was just overwhelmed by lust? Kind of poor form not to dance with your fiance at your engagement party, though. I don't know, I was bored and not really paying attention by then. I don't care what happens to anyone except Renfield, really.
Harker _told_ Greyson to take the first dance.
The pain of lusty denial on both their faces was so over the top soap opera, it was painful to watch.
I enjoyed seeing Renfield's backstory, however bloody it was.
I just marathoned
Orphan Black.
Oof. Also, wow.
The part where the clone was
dancing with the cut off tail
was just the creepiest.
Harker _told_ Greyson to take the first dance.
Yes, but when Harker asked to cut in is when Mina said she needed some air and took off. Tacky.
