Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Revolution and Physics have a bit of a strained relationship. Revolution is always bringing flowers and candy and saying how nobody really appreciates Physics' dark beauty the way Revolution does, but Physics is pretty sure Revolution is in love with something its constructed in its own mind, not the real Physics.

Bwahahahaha! So much this. (If we're being completely honest this relationship is not unlike the one between Sleepy Hollow and History, but sadly for Revolution, it doesn't have Sleepy Hollow's good looks making up for its lack of attention to detail.)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Maybe it's just that I've swallowed whole so much SF/F and alternate history over the years, but the bizarre History on Sleepy Hollow bothers me much much less. Because they're departing so much from the World We Know in their premise, it doesn't bother me that much of their history is similarly jacked around.

brillig

I'm just impressed that Sleepy Hollow is even bothering to point out the other side of history to Crane, ie, Jefferson's less savory side.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Anyone watching the new season of Lost Girl? I think it might have lost me, despite Kenzi being amazing (and beautiful) still. I accidentally recorded the Talking Girl or Lost Talk or whatever that usually annoying new genre of chatty after show is, and that made me think the first episode was an extension of Anna Silk's maternity leave (her babby was on the after show for a hot second). I was quite enjoying an episode that was light on Bo, because that's how I roll, but near the end when they couched their upcoming mission in terms of rescuing the one they all loved the most, BARF. I get that for Kenzi (sisters before misters, and all that) and for Dyson in different ways, but the way they said it was creepily messianic, and, well, not something I think Anna Silk is capable of living up to.

So I haven't gotten any subsequent episodes yet.

All is well that ends in pizza.

The Doctor Who bio pic "An Adventure in Space and Time" has now aired.

I just checked, and it was already available to *ahem* late last night.

50th special simulcast tomorrow, of course.

Are there any W&P plans for tomorrow?

Cool beans, then we can talk about it after it shows.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyone watching the new season of Lost Girl?

Shit, I didn't know the new season had started.

Cool beans, then we can talk about it after it shows.

Spoiler: They manage to get the show "Doctor Who" on the air.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

'Almost Human' Producer Teases Mythology, 'Sleepy Hollow' Crossover? [link]

Before we let Wyman go we asked if there was a chance "Almost Human" could cross over with "Sleepy Hollow," which plays later the same night on FOX. "That would be awesome!" Wyman said laughing. "You would have to do a time jump."

The idea of Crane faced with Dorian is amusing.

Of course Orlando Jones really knows how to wind up fandom with crossover talk:

So as soon as we wrap production on our Super Sleepy crossover ep which is currently being written by one of the SPN writers it looks like we’ll need to get started on Almost Hollow.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I thought Lost Girl wasn't back until January?
