I liked they took the time to tell Ichabod about the other side of Jefferson.

I had to spend some time adjusting back from Orlando Jones, fangirl, to Captain Irving--like, toning it down from sputtering laughter adjustment.

But I did do a double fist pump and yell ICHABBIE IS CANON, so he did win. Also, the blade back bend is GOLDEN. There were a lot of things I liked a lot about this episode--the pacing is well matched to the material, so I don't spend a lot of time at the wrong moments dwelling.

The idea that the horseman can't tell his head from Halloween replicas (or was he just pissed until he was in view?) was also hysterical.

Males posturing while the woman is holding a handgun, fake damsels in distress, headless bodies screaming NOOOOOO, ex-boyfriends having mental breakdowns, dead turncoats getting protective (if he's cheated on her to be with you, he'll cheat on you too, Death...)

Midseason review: Consistently amusing, surprisingly touching, would laugh again.

I hope no one--other than the Horseman--took Abby's helpless act seriously.

I'm nervous about the Captain's daughter's birthday party being mentioned. Unless it was just illustrative of his normal world. Because stuff rarely gets brought up unless it means something.

And, not to try and get too scientifically credible with this, 'cause Sleepy Hollow, but I was able to hand wave the lack of tarnish on the skull's silver teeth with the idea that the acid bath probably polished them up pretty well. Not that I would have chosen shiny silver teeth in a two-century old skull as my breaking point on this show without it. Still, it's easier on my wrists not to have to wave too hard.

I enjoyed the (corrected?) Paul Revere quietly telling people "the regulars are coming" and then the not-yet-headless horseman coming after the group.

And wouldn't the acid have removed the information from the silver teeth? (handwave, handwave)

Ending the voicemail with, "I am, most respectfully, Ichabod Crane."! How could he get any more adorable? Answer: not possible - there is no more adorable he could be.

Destroying the skulls was awesome. And sort of on that note - I've found myself being impressed with the Horseman's acting skills. I mean, it's one thing to express yourself without using speech, but this guy was doing some pretty darned impressive emoting without even a face.
