Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

ABC produces it, ABC is owned by Disney, so... yeah.

Ah.

Well there you have it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

"This is garbage. Absolute garbage. So why do I keep turning the pages?"

This is what I aspire to write.

Was I just entranced by the concept in the beginning, or did it actually used to be good?

I loved Red and the Dwarves and Doc Hopper.

The "MY son! No, MYYYY Son" back and forth got sort of tedious, but I liked the ancillary characters.

I'm definitely weary of the Neverland storyline, which seems to consist of staggering about in the same 200 square feet of forest.

Sing it.

I'm also weary of Pan...in general. True, the actor is doing a good job of being sooper creepy, but if the character is so freaking eeeevvviiilll and invincible, why doesn't he just squash them all like bugs and be done with it?

He might actually be a really good actor, but he's not given much to work with. Also, he looks, as my step-mother used to say, "Like he smells something bad all the time."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What happened with Almost Human? I just had a minor freakout because I couldn't find it anywhere, and I know the poster I passed said today, but internet says Fox pushed it out.

The official reasons are always confident, but does anyone know more deets?

Because books.

Sleepy Hollow: James Frain and John Noble! And baseball!

Because books.

Sleepy Hollow: The fanfic really writes itself.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think Almost Human starts like the 18th? So it might not show up on your listings yet.

I suppose it's not necessary to point out that the hanging method was not historically correct.
