Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

He did look to be covered in salt or something similar when he first woke up. If Katrina's spell can keep someone in a state of stasis for 230 years, I have no problem with it similarly preserving his clothing.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I assume he deposited a penny into a savings account in 1776 and is currently living off the accumulated interest. t / Try Handwavium Bank's new interest-free checking!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I vote Jilli guest stars as Ichabod's personal stylist to find him some slightly fresher period-appropriate clothing.

OKAY I LIKE THIS IDEA.

It's very convenient.

As long as the ponytail stays, I won't complain. Although I would be okay with more shirtlessness, too.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I like the personal stylist idea, too.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Does he have clean underwear? Shouldn't we have a scene of his trying to figure out modern underwear?

The ponytail or queue is much more period appropriate than the scenes with his hair loose.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

He had to have the costumer sew in rigid bits along the shoulders and spine, at least for a while.

Aha! Mison can be pretty slouchy in out-of-costume interviews.

I think there's a flaw in your plan.

Shouldn't we have a scene of his trying to figure out modern underwear?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Sleepy Hollow After Dark on HBO

I can hear the saxes in the soundtrack now.

Oh, hey, so much music would be new to him. Saxaphones were invented later. The whole Romantic period, jazz, blues, rock, not to mention the "always on" aspect of modern music. Press a button and instant orchestra in your horseless carriage.

The series seems perfect for fanfic, because there's a ton of "out of time" things that they'll never have a chance to address.
