The Scully box?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
A box to get the shorter character tall enough to be in the same frame with the taller character.
Named after Dana Scully, because Gillian Anderson is like a full foot shorter than David Duchovney.
The last IO9 recap I read said something to the effect of "we're not saying it like it's a bad thing when he shoulders past her, it's just that his shoulders are what go past her head."
Fair.
Ah. Thanks.
Pre X-Files, they were just called apple boxes (because they actually are...apple boxes).
There's a point at which one needs to let an alternate universe be alternate, or you'll strangle it.
I think the real world details bug more because some are just obviously mistakes instead of decisions. I'm actually fine with an AU version of Roanoke that was magically relocated to the Hudson valley by Pestilence. But it bothers me that Ichabod seems to take modern medicine in stride when he predates germ theory by almost a century.
And he's also clearly an ancestor of Sherlock Holmes!
The whole thing is so ridiculous, it's awesome. And when he gets snarky, I could care less how absurd it gets, because he is just that adorable.

This is an entirely worthwhile point.
Thinking that "miasmas" bring illness has never struck me as all that different from germ theory. Some thing you couldn't see was getting into your body and making you sick. I've always been impressed with how close they were to the truth with that one.
One big problem with the miasma theory is that it assumed disease came from the environment, as opposed to being passed from person to person.
Oh god, I meant to say couldn't care less up there. I hate goofs like that.
