Mal: Well, look at this! Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us? Zoe: Big damn heroes, sir.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Those pieces are appropriate components?

Ahahahahaha. No.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Then I think I'm comfortable with my "sexy witch costume" knee jerk response.

I liked a *lot* about the episode, and it's a definite season pass--I'm theirs to lose.

John Cho was *brill*. I was pretty sure he wouldn't make it far, but I'd hope they wouldn't do it this soon--maybe ep 3, dammit. But him scanning the room, seeing no one, and then the Horseman getting up from the chair? Fucking on the nose funny and impending oh-shittery of one sort or another.

Compassionately intolerant

The soft-focus, horned-evil crashing into the mirror from the other side elicited an actual "EEP" out of me.

I'm not much for jumpy-outy horror...like, at all...but it was framed in such a way that the sceeery bits were enjoyable for me. Quite a feat.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I can fan wank the "sexy witch costume". Wifely is alive in her original (probably unaged) body, but is trapped in that she can only remember who she is in her dreams. Because her essential self is still there, she is probably Goth, or into new agey occultism or some such - so the "sexy witch costume" is something she owns now, in the 21st century. Probably this theory will be smashed to smithereens within one or two episodes.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I was sad that the two actors I most wanted to see on-going didn't make it through the pilot.

this was my problem.

Me too! I enjoyed it despite its silliness and anachronisms.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think I like it because of its silliness and don't care about the anachronisms. Captain Irving! The horseman slicing through the horse X-ing (I presume) sign and leaving the silhouette of a guy on a horse with no head! Put your hands on your...

Delightful.

Too bad about John Cho, though.

Bold move mentioning the witnesses are together for seven years.

Yep. And if, by some freak chance, it ends up with Supernatural-level legs, well, there's always another prophecy.

One of my local fangirl buds just posted that she enjoyed it, and most of the stuff I've seen online has been fairly positive. I'm curious about how the fic will pan out.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

oh my ... it really is crying for fanfic!

And, seven years or not, they can go on soap-opera-time ... you know, where a toddler becomes a cranky teen in one season but a pregnancy takes two seasons ....

Okay, Sleepy Hollow was fun. And I *know* I've seen that Ye Olde Witch costume somewhere, sold as a complete costume. I just can't remember where.
