Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And a lot of egg whites.

But that shit fucks you up. Poor boys.

I...think I'm missing something there.

Teen Wolf reference.

Teen Wolf reference.

Ah. I didn't jump on that train. Is it worth it?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I did get annoyed at a couple of anachronisms (but that's one of my buttons).

I have a feeling the list is going to get long.

For one, there's no reason for Crane to have an English accent.

In 1781, New York had the nation's largest community of free Blacks, so there's no reason for him to assume she's a slave. Also, he would have said he was pro-manumission or anti-slavery.

What's sad is that my first reaction to the Arrow campaign was, "Oh, good. More Diggle."

It's my top appointment TV at the moment. Basically it's Buffy with about 80% less depth and allegorical meaning and a corresponding increase in beefcake to compensate.

Well, he's English, but apart from that, no reason.

Teen Wolf is fun. It gets quite caught up in its sturm and drang at times, but it has some really fun characterisation, and a few actors who are really damned good at what they're doing, and throw both the comedy and the tragedy at the screen with equal gusto. There's bravery, sarcasm, treachery, teen love, worried parents, badass kids and badass parents, and parents you can't trust at all, and it's been a lot of fun so far for me.

I am 100% Team Diggle, will wear the shirt.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

At some point Crane says he was a professor ("teacher"?) at Oxford.

And, honestly - would he have said "The Book of Revelations"? Even I, with a non-religious upbringing, knew it was "The Revelation of Saint John". grrr

Eh, I always heard it referred to as "The Book of Revelations" in my church (Methodist), when I was a kid. Although after reading that Making Light thing on the development of The Bible, I'd love to see some prophecy show up referencing the Revelation of St. Peter.

In Beacon Hills, shirts are totally optional, and the insecure boys seek reassurance that they are attractive to gay men.

I'm totally non-fannish about it, but it's good clean fun.
