Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

And this is why Vonnie is my favorite.

D'awww! *hugs you* Wait a minute, I get to hug you in person in one week! WHY IS IT NOT VIVIDCON TIMES YET.

I liked Alison pretty much immediately, but the shooting lesson with Sarah and later the scene with Kira cemented my love. She's fantastic. And also will totally FUCK YOUR SHIT UP if you get in her way. And not only does Maslany switch around accents, but she moves and holds herself like an entirely different person with each character. Amazing.

Vonnie- are you reading fanfic lately? And what pairings/shows?

Recently? I've been reading ALL the Mako/Raleigh from Pacific Rim. For a movie that's been out only 3 weeks, there is a surprising amount of fandom output around it. Not sure if you've watched the movie yet, but I have a few recs in my LJ here.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Thanks Vonnie! I will try it. I haven't seen the movie, but I know what happens in it, at least.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

so he didn't revel the name, someone pieced a couple of communications from him together and are making an educated guess.

The article doesn't say he said it was Paterson, does it? I'm confused.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Plei, surely you were on call for that? I can't be expected to keep track of these things...

Yeah, but then I got all spaced out on med changes and shit.

Can you imagine, though?

I'm literally making a face and drumming my feet against the floor in childish disgruntlement.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I recently started watching Farscape for the first time. I'm into season 2 and I just watched the body swap episode. That was some funny, funny stuff.

OMG, so much awesome to look forward to.

Also, if you are into fanfiction, the body swap episode inspired a friend of mine to write one of the most awesome, most porny stories ever: Scientist, Astronaut, and Nymphomaniac: the Nine Lives of John Crichton. So brilliant.

I'll mark that for later.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

aurelia,

Farscape is just awesome and the season 3 penultimate episode we rewatched 4 times. That is some amazing shit.

And the movie after the series ends is great too. I have minor quibbles but thrilled with the sense of completion.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I forgot I unsubscribed from this thread to avoid Orphan Black spoilers!

But I caught up and I love it holy shit (Vonnie, my review is safe for you).

And, yes, Alison is the best.

And not only does Maslany switch around accents, but she moves and holds herself like an entirely different person with each character. Amazing.

It's unreal. I experience so much cognitive dissonance watching the show because I can't believe they're all played by one person.
