A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Do you mean the one before William Hartnell?
That is what I meant, Jon. I can see the other prospects for where the character might fit in the timeline.
I just hope it is resolved in a way that makes sense. I'm so bad at keeping time travel straight.
Have they gone back on tradition and retconned in the possibility that William Hartnell's Doctor wasn't his original incarnation?
I think he's the doctor who actually caused the destruction of the Time Lords. A skipped doctor (the real 9?).
Pix, I was thinking the same thing.
Does anyone think that is the last time we're going to see River Song? It certainly felt like a good-bye to the character to me.
I don't think so.
She was able to do more from her situation that people thought she should be able to do.
I believe she's not just an after-image of River Song, I believe the method of saving her in the library, using the Sonic Screwdriver, let more of her be saved than just an after-image.
In the end, she said she was linked to Clara, and when the Doctor asked how, she said, "spoilers!"
Oh God, Pix, that would explain some fandom reactions I've seen.
I think he's the doctor who actually caused the destruction of the Time Lords
Yeah, that was my immediate thought, with the way that Hurt was trying to justify himself.
I noticed that Great Intelligence mentioned the Valeyard in the list of names that the Doctor has been known by. Too obvious?
That incarnation appeared during the Colin Baker years, so a return would probably surprise everyone who's not a die-hard Who fan.
