A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
what the hell was even going on? The Doctor won a shouting match?
Seriously.
That was my reaction.
It seemed like the whole hour was geared toward that one speech. Let's just say, it didn't hold a candle to St. Crispian's, if you know what I mean.
Super picky nit ahead: Perhaps I've seen too many episodes of Face Off but the makeup was _terrible_. I could see the edges of the prosthetics.
It crossed my mind that Moffat is somehow dedicated to making more like the earlier, more kid-focused, stories before the Davies era.
I don't think it is working as well as he thinks it is.

Actually Clara won the shouting match. And no it makes no sense: the leaf satiated Grandfather with the overwhelming quantity of nummy possibilities? But Dr. Who resolutions often make no sense. The delivery of the patter was quite good.
I missed the Susan reference.

DW: What P-C said. I liked the concepts but thought the execution was lousy. Could they have included any more singing? And could they have repeated any more of the flashbacks at the end? It's like the script ran short and they needed filler.
What Jon said.
Since I've seen almost no Classic Who, I heard the granddaughter mention, but didn't really get it (but could tell I was missing a reference).

Adams was a writer on Who, at least during the Tom Baker years.
I didn't think it was as strong a second episode with new companion as Beast Below, but it's still better than the pirate episode.
