Yeah, even I know that had nothing to do with folkloric Duppies, and I don't pretend to know much about Jamaican folklore. But then again I would say most of the Fae have very little to do with the folklore they are supposedly based upon. If occasionally one or two types of Fae are authentic that is a huge exception.
BTW, during Watchathon I caught a few episodes of True Blood. That has the over-top-ness I enjoy in Lost Girl with better dialog. They knew that they are full of shit, enjoy that they are full of shit, and yet manage to own their own bullshit. Lost Girl winks but usually does not own their bullshit. Maybe tomorrow I will find a way to put that more clearly, but maybe you know what I mean even phrased that clumsily.

I know the Polish Fae was pretty good, for something relatively obscure. The Garuda was within reasonable boundaries. The Filipino thing last week...I have no clue.

I had the thought during the hiatus that Clara Oswin Oswald would at some point turn out to be a manifestation of River Song trying to break out of the Library.
The uploading of the consciousness reminds me of the "saving" at the Library.

Orphan Black - enjoyed it, but so far main character is not sympathetic. They will have to work hard if they want to make us like her. But maybe they don't want us to like her.

Yep, now that leaf makes sense. I loved that whole bit.
I loved a lot of the concepts in the episode—my Olympians play is about attachment to material objects and the sentimental value we afford them and the fact that they carry our history, for fuck's sake—but I wasn't really enthralled with the execution.
