1) Hasn't Regina figured out yet that letting Rumple talk her into things never works out well for her?
2)OK Mr. Evil Dude Rumplestilskin - given that you just tried to kill Emma, when she is suffering low self-esteem issues why talk her out of them?
3) At the very end, when everyone was going out to Granny's for burgers, did it really not occur to anyone to invite Regina? Snow, at least, was raised as royalty; wouldn't she know enough about basic interpersonal politics to consider trying to keep Regina sweet? The rest are not raised to either royal or office politics. (Well except Belle. She is a merchants daughter. But she suffered longer than anyone at Regina's hands.)
Why was (Temp-Dog, as he still is in my brain) more expendable than the other prisoner? He could just as easily have had those lines with Carol, if that's the differentiator. He isn't creepy enough to live?

Since the writers who killed him are also the ones who sent him to Woodbury, that doesn't really explain why he died and the other guy didn't. Just send the other guy to Woodbury instead...

Anyway, yeah, more than Christian Kane. He's doing his own fight stunts. That's not the same as "showoff stuff".

I don't know if we've seen Abel do much fighting. Or much of...anything that would make him a better choice to take to Woodbury than Oscar (I learned his name! In death, a member of Project Black Guy has a name).

Take them both, kill one of them. Don't kill Oscar on the raid. Kill Abel some other time. You're not trying to say that one death was inevitable, surely? They can kill whoever they like and they decided to kill Oscar.
Right. And, as you pointed out, that decision was made before they sent him to Woodbury. All I am saying is that based on the group of people that went to Woodbury, if you feel the need to kill someone to show that NO ONE IS SAFE or whatever, Oscar is your man. Except since he's not really a major character, he's mostly a sacrifice to false narrative stakes and makes it
less
likely that a major character will die.
They could have left both of them at the prison and had no one die in the raid, and it would have been just as effective, really.
