Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I wasn't paying close enough attention to her to form an opinion, but TVD seems to have too many characters at any given time for my taste, so I'll support her getting eaten on general principles.

I'm losing interest in Invisible Tattoo Hunter if he's all tied in with the damn Originals in some way. So tired of them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was actually surprised to find out the originals were coming back. So naive--you'd think I'd never watched TV before. But they're uncharismatic and irritating, so...

They need to state that you get frozen at the age you turn, because there's no other explanation for Rebecca. You steal that ring, YOU WALK AWAY WITH IT. I mean, if for some reason you don't fucking kill Elena like the heartless monster you are.

Wait...vampires aren't heartless monsters. They just have the ability to kill and rape without remorse.

(I can't believe how *fun* this show is to pick apart--I apologise to devout fans if I'm harshing your mellow--I'm doing it here because I've kind of been nudge out of everywhere else by people for whom this is their Buffy--hey, rag on Supernatural. I'm good.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The Jillifonts in Mockingbird Lane are very cool.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Mockingbird Lane was a lot of fun.

Fringe! Wow, I can't believe they did that.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

And she never even got to hear the story about the bullet! sob

And now we get to see Peter and Olivia go through what we've only heard them talk about. I expect the next three episodes will be rough.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

And she never even got to hear the story about the bullet!

I KNOW! I didn't even realize she didn't know what the bullet was.

I really liked her. Also, she was really pretty. I had noted that she was only a guest star, not part of the main cast, but I expected her to last longer or maybe be added to the main cast in the middle of the season or something.

What was Lance Reddick's status in the credits last year, or the year before? I was startled to see him so very "special guest" (or something else temporary looking) last night, but then I realised he hadn't been thick on the ground this autumn.
