I plan on watching at least one episode.
'Shells'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I just heard two radio spots for it in the space of an hour. It's the lead-in to Supernatural, so I'll probably watch at least once.
Steam train! Yay!!
I'm watching Arrow!
Interview with Stephen Amell (who plays Oliver Queen) and some video of him working out.
Arrow: not a fan of the voice overs, but he's a cutie-head, so that's good.
Ha. Just got spoiled for Lost. Not that I ever planned on watching finishing it.
Well, that's awkward dinner conversation.
Some fun gratuitous parkour, there.
Also not a fan of voiceovers.
I could live without the Evil Mother plot, which Tim said he saw coming from a mile away.
I admit to some squeeing at his sister being Speedy (love the accuracy with the drug use) and his BFF being Tommy Merlin, holy crapsticks.
I'll watch it again. He was kinda hunky. And Tommy Merlin was entirely too cute.
Would it make any sense at all to someone who has no background knowledge of the comics?
That workout with the pull up bar was HAWT.
I think so, yeah. There are things that are clearly references to the comics (mostly characters -- Speedy and Tommy Merlin, for instance), but I don't think anyone needs to know their comic equivalents in order to understand/appreciate the show. At all, really.
