All right, no one's killing folk today, on account of our very tight schedule.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I love that the clapper in the lab still works!

The Olivia and Etta story was lovely. Only Walter would think a resistance movement needs a good scavenger hunt.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I love the relationships in this show!

I was wondering why we hadn't seen Desmond yet this season. Oh, what a terrible fate!

Poor Desmond.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm only a casual watcher of Person of Interest, so bear with me, if you may.

How did Root ensure that they'd come to her? I mean, how did she manipulate things to set herself apart from all the other people that were in danger about the same time? Is there a certain ranking given to the threats?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Like, last season? I don't remember the details, but the machine doesn't always identify people who are in danger. It also identifies perpetrators.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think she did it with a generous amount of handwavium. I watch every episode, and I don't remember how she managed it.

I was pretty sure she was the victim, but either way--there are hundreds of people on either side of crimes that the machine doesn't point to. How is she to know she'd get its attention?

Shallowly, might I add, Ms Acker is looking very beautiful these days.

I looked at Wikipedia for a refresher, and Root was involved in an earlier case, which is where she encountered Finch. Then, in the one where she appeared, she intentionally had a hit put on herself.

I guess she's smart enough to game the system?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Anyone else going to watch Arrow? I'm at least going to watch the premiere. I know it's not comics Ollie Queen, but -- it's Green Arrow, man!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Anyone else going to watch Arrow?

I'm planning on it!
