But if the world doesn't end, I'm gonna need a note.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And the scythe was pretty simple to "use."

When Sock was playing with the scythe, I really wanted him to do the Reaper rap from Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. I found myself, therefore, quite disappointed with the Highlander joke.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ha, yeah, I mean, why no Grim Reaper joke? As Sam pointed out, Highlanders don't have scythes. I don't know where that came from.

I actually don't know whether they're called Highlanders. I don't know much about the series besides THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.

I think that it was more a riff on Sock and what he doesn't know.

Well, first of all, there was only one movie, no matter what anyone else says.

Sock's knowledge base is weird. He appears to be a huge geek, but there have been times where he's woefully ignorant of things that even a low-level sci-fi fan would know. I think there was something about Star Trek that threw me.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I may be misunderstanding, but if that's a real question - afaik, they aren't called Highlanders. But the one the show's about, Duncan McCleod, happened to be a Highlander.

don't they just call themselves Immortals?

I think they were just called Immortals. The original Immortal MacLeod (Connor) was the Highlander.

I never saw the TV series but I assume he was some relation to Connor.

ETA: HA! X-posty!

Hmm, Joe Morton (Henry from Eureka) has shaved his head!
