Now you can luxuriate in a nice jail cell, but if your hand touches metal, I swear by my pretty flowered bonnet, I will end you.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oh damn, did that premiere last night? I meant to watch the pilot again to see what they changed.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Jessica, it's airing again on Wednesday.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I liked the adult characters. The teenagers looked like a bunch of Abercrombie & Fitch models with the corresponding level of charisma/acting abilities. I see a lot of eye-rolling and "oh, shut up" in my future if I am to stick with the show, which I probably will as I have the hots for Billy Burke (the Han Solo-ish uncle with the ninja moves.)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I missed it entirely -- Monday night is a goddam trainwreck of programming for me & the roommate.

Sound not much worse than TERRA NOVA for world-building, by people whose understanding of "electricity" stopped in the third grade.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's on Hulu (the pilot's actually been available for the last week or two). So far, I appreciate that What Happened is vaguely described enough so I am not forced to decide how plausible I find it. I'll need another episode or two to decide if I like it, I think...

Yeah, me too. I'll keep watching it if they keep it available on demand, but if they pull it, I'll probably be watching Castle and DVRing Hawaii Five 0.

hwæt

I didn't think it was awful, I just know that the more I watch it, the more annoyed I'll get by the bad science. If guns can work, why not diesel engines? What about steam engines?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Because satellites?

No, I haven't seen it. And I'm not spoilt. But I'm seeing lots of hopeful speculation--people trying to find explanations that mean they don't have to hate the show like they did based on the first descriptions.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Oh, man, I just watched "Pond Life." I want an Ood butler!
