'Out Of Gas'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

But how did she not sound like a Dalek to everyone?

This and how the Doctor got the TARDIS on the Dalek ship are the two things that make me scratch my head, but I admit that I wasn't thinking about them during the show, and then I came here immediately, so I'm not sure they would have occurred to me. But now I can't forget! Oh, well. I liked it a lot anyway.

The almost-divorce caught me way off guard, but the resolution scenes were were well-done and gave me feels, so whatever. I can't wait for next week's episode, "Dinosaurs! On a SPACE ship!"

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

But how did she not sound like a Dalek to everyone?

She got a hold of the doohickey Roy Skelton used and turned it around?

Seriously, I assumed that since she was hacking into something or other to make her transmission, she could use whatever voice she wanted. It's not like there was a mic in the room where she was being held.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So she was broadcasting Carmen to the Dalek ship WITH HER MIND?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Rupert Graaaaaaaves. Have I mentioned that the sight of Rupert Graves frolicking buck nekkid in A Room with the View had a formative influence on Young Vonnie? Can't wait! He looks even better now with salt-and-pepper hair than he did as a callow youth, I have to say.

A fine choice, Young Vonnie.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

So she was broadcasting Carmen to the Dalek ship WITH HER MIND?

She was broadcasting everything with her mind. She was hacking Dalek systems with her mind. She was physically chained up in a cell and doing all sorts of freaky stuff with her mind.

Ah, the power of wireless.
